Al is grateful to be part of the BSU Theatre Arts team. A native of the Boston area, Al has a BA in Theatre Arts from ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø (2010) and a MA in Design for Performance from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama (2017). Recent BSU set design credits include Spamalot (2024), Dracula (2023), Epic Proportions (2022), Godspell (2022), The Foreigner (2018), The Marriage of Bette & Boo (2015), Assassins (2014). Other set design credits include the world premiere production of Middleton Heights (Umbrella Stage Company 2023), the regional premiere of We’re Gonna Die (Wilbury Theatre Group 2023), Oedipus the King, The School for Scandal, Edges (Roger Williams University 2023), Avenue Q (Umbrella Stage Company 2019), Once Upon a Mattress (Family Performing Arts Center 2018), Seussical (NCCA Papermill Theatre 2018). Recent scenic arts & construction credits include the world premiere of Gatsby (American Repertory Theatre 2024), North American Premiere of Life of Pi (American Repertory Theatre 2022), Regional premieres of Hundred Days and The Last Wide Open (Umbrella Stage Company 2020, 2021), One Man Two Guvnors (The Richard Burton Company 2016), Ralph Koltai: Atomic Landscapes (RWCMD 2016), Jack & The Beanstock (Torch 2015). Film credits include scenic carpentry for Poor Glenna (Overdue Films), prop design & set dressing for music videos by Big Bad Bobby; Walter Sickert & The Army of Broken Toys, and set dressing for Sherlock (Hartswood Films/BBC). Al is also an active participant of the United States Institute of Technical Theatre (USITT), World Stage Design (WSD), and the Prague Quadrennial (PQ).
