Rooted in tradition and with a progressive approach to addressing today’s issues, the Department of Political Science at ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø prepares you for a variety of careers with one of the strongest programs on campus. We offer a bachelor’s in political science degree with several concentrations, from our public administration degree and international affairs degree to our legal studies degree. A master’s in public administration degree and a graduate certificate for certified public managers round out our robust offerings.
While earning your politics degree, you’ll gain broad knowledge of the nonprofit and public sectors. Most of our political science degree graduates go on to government positions or pursue law school.
Students in BSU’s Political Science department have access to:
- Rewarding coursework. Our curriculum combines the ancient discipline of politics with exciting new courses like LGBTQ Politics in America and Politics of Climate Change.
- Diverse faculty. Collaborate with our award-winning faculty, active in publishing and research and experts in American and international politics.
- Intensive career guidance. Political science degree students and faculty engage in one-on-one advising sessions.
- Financial aid and scholarships. Students earning a politics degree may qualify for scholarships such as the David Flynn Scholarship.
