Learn How to Think, Not What to Think with a Philosophy Degree from BSU
The Department of Philosophy at ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø prepares students in our philosophy degree program with an education rooted in analytic philosophy, social and political philosophy, and the history of philosophy. You’ll be able to confidently analyze complex issues and articulate them through sound, logical argument. You’ll explore the fundamental questions of social and political philosophy and be encouraged to pursue your own research. As a BSU philosophy degree student, you’ll be prepared to pursue graduate studies or begin a successful career in a range of professions. The department offers a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, with a range of concentrations to fit your interests.

- Gain experience while you study. Many philosophy degree students at BSU intern for organizations ranging from law firms to state legislatures, which are valuable opportunities to apply their learning in a professional setting. 
- Join Phi Sigma Tau. BSU’s chapter of the International Honor Society in Philosophy lets philosophy degree students exchange ideas with peers and faculty.
- Join the Undergraduate Philosophy Club. Run by philosophy degree students, the club meets weekly to discuss a range of topics. Among their student activities, the BSU Philosophy Club sponsors an Undergraduate Philosophy Conference and publishes the annual BSU Philosophy Journal.
