12 Justice Fellows posing on the stairs inside the new MRISJ building

The Justice Fellow program pairs undergraduate students with a nonprofit organization or campus-based initiative for a community-based learning experience that engages students in positive social change work. The Justice Fellow program allows community organizations to gain direct service and capacity-building support, while providing learning opportunities for undergraduate students.

Fellows are hired as BSU student employees and work 10-14 hours per week throughout the academic year. An MRISJ staff member serves as a campus advisor to provide guidance to Justice Fellows to support their community work and increase their understanding of social justice, community engagement and social change. Justice Fellows meet regularly as a cohort to integrate issue specific education and reflection into their experience.

Justice Fellows have worked with organizations in Bridgewater, Brockton, Easton, Middleboro, Taunton, and on our BSU campus.
